This land navigation course is intended to give the student a through understanding and skills in reading and using topographic maps, the compass, terrain reading and interpretation, and putting it all together to navigate in the wilderness. This course will also cover using Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers and basic desktop computer mapping programs.

Class meets Fri/Sat/Sun over two weekends: April 6-8 and 20-22 (does not meet the weekend in between). Begin/end times are: Fridays from 6-9:15pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 8am-5:40pm.
